   헤진 낙엽

   숲정원에서 빠스락

   아우성 몇 번 질렀을 뿐인데

   대설 즈음 밟히고 또 뭉개져

   보드랍고 잘게 갈아진다.

   ​한 번 울부짖을 때마다 진이 빠져

   어깨를 들썩였는지

   마른 가슴 바람구멍으로 들락대며

   우수수

   바람으로 제 몸을 부숴

   불고 쓴 듯 흩뿌린다.

​

​   풀풀 거리던 사람의 길은

   층층으로 포개었던 낙엽이

   흙과 골고루 버무려져 곱다.

   기며 엉기던

   발길 끊긴 짐승의 길이 단정하여

   신갈나무 겨울은 안녕하다.

   Worn-out leaves
   Rustling in the forest garden
   Just screamed a few times
   Trampled and crushed around Daeseol
   Becomes soft and finely ground

   Drained of energy with each wail   
   Whether the shoulders shrugged
   Through the wind holes in the dry chest
   Rustling down
   Breaking itself into wind
   Scatters as if blown and written

   The path of the fluttering person
   The fallen leaves that were stacked in layers
   Evenly mixed with soil, fine
   Crawling and clinging
   The path of the abandoned beast is neat
   Mongolian oak winter is peaceful

시작 메모

신갈나무 숲이 겨울의 숨결로 다가온다. 신갈나무의 헤진 낙엽이 숲정원에서 빠스락 소리를 낸다. 차가운 공기를 가르며 아우성을 지른다. 대설 즈음의 낙엽은 발 아래 밟히고 뭉개져 보드랍고 잘게 갈라진다.

울부짖음이 한 번씩 터져 나올 때마다 힘이 빠진다. 그래도 어깨는 저절로 들썩인다. 마른 가슴은 바람구멍으로 들락거린다. 우수수 바람에 몸을 부숴 흩뿌린다.

풀풀 거리던 사람의 길이다. 층층으로 포개진 낙엽이 흙과 골고루 버무려져 곱다. 기며 엉기던 발길 끊긴 짐승의 길은 이제 단정하다. 신갈나무 겨울은 여전히 안녕하다. 

The Mongolian oak forest approaches with winter's breath. The tattered leaves of the oak trees make rustling sounds in the forest garden. They scream through the cold air. The fallen leaves around the Great Snow period are crushed under feet, becoming soft and finely split.

Strength drains with each outburst of wailing. Still, shoulders heave on their own. The dry chest moves in and out through the wind hole. The body shatters and scatters in the whistling wind.

It's the path where people once wandered. The layered fallen leaves are beautifully mixed with soil. The animal trails, where creatures once crawled and lingered, are now neat. The winter of Mongolian oak forest remains well.
