동지 산행

빈손으로 원림에 든다. 이미
내원재 오를 때 외투를 벗어 팔 겨드랑이에 장착하고 
동지팥죽 같은 등골의 끈적임을 감지한다.

완이재를 내려와 산목재 재나무에 잠시 걸터 앉는다.
진달래 겨울눈 피골이 팽팽하여
금방이라도 나 몰라라 터질까 봐 두런댔다.

먹이 생존 마친 물까치 떼의 연푸른 꽁지깃
아침 햇살과 함께 동지를 건넜는지
산천은 거짓말처럼 잔잔한 여울을 닮았다.

동지의 공제선(空際線)이 견고하여 일출조차 뚫지 못한다.
다만 천천히 걷는 이마로 이따금씩 온기로 손 내민다.

Entering the garden empty-handed. Already
Taking off the coat and tucking it under the arm while climbing Naewonjae
Sensing the stickiness of the spine like winter solstice red bean porridge

Coming down from Wani-jae, briefly sitting on the Jaenamu at Sanmokjae
The winter buds of azaleas are taut
Chatting, worried they might burst at any moment

The pale blue tail feathers of a flock of magpies that have finished feeding for survival
Wondering if they crossed the winter solstice with the morning sunlight
The landscape resembles a tranquil stream as if by a lie

The winter skyline  is so firm that even the sunrise cannot penetrate it
Only occasionally extending warmth with a slowly walking forehead

시작 메모

새벽 산행의 시작, 원림으로 들어선다. 빈손의 겸손함이 감싼다. 내원재를 오르며 몸이 뎁혀진다. 외투를 벗어 팔에 걸친다. 등줄기의 땀이 동지팥죽처럼 끈적인다. 고요한 산행은 내 몸을 적신다.

완이재에서 산목재로 이어지는 길이다. 언덕 위의 우람한 나무를 재나무라 부른다. 여기서 늘 잠시 쉰다. 겨울 진달래 눈의 팽팽함이 시선을 붙잡는다. 생명의 팽창이 감지된다. 저 은은하게 퍼지는 신비로움이 가슴을 채운다.

물까치 떼의 푸른 깃털이 아침 햇살에 반짝이며 동지를 건넌다. 고요한 산천의 풍경이 여울처럼 잔잔히 스민다. 순한 이치가영혼을 적신다. 견고한 동지의 스카이라인이 일출을 막는다. 천천히 걷는 이마를 어루만진다. 내 손길은 따스하다. 

The start of a dawn hike, entering the garden. Embraced by the humility of empty hands. Climbing Naewonjae warms the body. The coat is taken off and draped over the arm. Sweat on the back clings like winter solstice red bean porridge. The serene hike drenches my body.

The path leads from Wani-jae to Sanmok-jae. The grand tree on the hill is called the Jaenamu. I always take a brief rest here. The tautness of winter azalea buds captures my gaze. The expansion of life is sensed. That subtly spreading mystery fills my heart.

A flock of azure-winged magpies glimmers in the morning sunlight as they cross the winter solstice. The tranquil landscape of the mountains and rivers seeps in gently like a stream. The gentle logic moistens the soul. The sturdy skyline of the winter solstice blocks the sunrise. Slowly walking, it caresses my forehead. My touch is warm.
